Access control transponder card SLE5542

Summary
The Siemens SLE5542 smart card replaces the SLE4442 model. It features a 256-byte EEPROM and a programmable write-protect mechanism. The card is intended for applications requiring secure, portable data storage and compatibility with existing systems.

Protection and security
The SLE5542 chip includes a programmable write-protect function and a programmable security code (PIN) to control access to stored data. The internal organization (1024 x 8 bit) allows write-protect to be set at bit level; memory can be written and erased bit by bit repeatedly.

Blank card in standard CR80 format (86 x 54 mm), thickness 0.76 mm, compliant with ISO 7810-CR80. PVC laminated card printable on both sides (except the chip contact area). Overlay lamination. Compatible with most card printers and with some printers equipped with a contact station for encoding.

Compatible readers / encoding
Readers supporting SLE5542 read/write operations: USB reader LGM2200+ (A3M) for direct connection, or encoding in printers with a contact module (e.g.: Evolis Primacy2 with GEMPC USB-TR) for series production.
