Acoustic efficient and design ceiling installations with baffles The technical definition “baffles” is used for acoustic panels vertically installed to the ceiling. This installation method directly exposes both the panel faces to sound waves, obtaining a remarkable increasing of the sound absorption. For this reason, we use to call them double-sided or double absorbing panels. These absorbers are usually set up in parallel lines, with a regular distance defined according to the required acoustic project results. Decho® Baffles sound absorbing panels are suitable for any acoustic treatment, especially for high ceiling spaces where the sound diffraction, associated to the sound absorption, may be very useful to reduce the reverberation level. Decho® Baffles panels can be installed both in adherence or suspended to the ceiling. The adherence installation is usually adopted in standard height spaces, such as restaurants or offices. In case of big spaces as auditoriums, exhibition pavilions, multifunctional halls, it’s advisable to suspend the sound absorbing panels to the ceiling with steel or nylon cables. Decho® Baffles panels are suitable especially for high quality interior design spaces because of their elegant finishes, high technical quality and attention to details. HOW THEY’RE MADE Decho® Baffles absorbers are made of multidensity polyester fiber (Class 1- Euro class B-s2-d0), an internal perimetral aluminum frame to improve the panel structural resistance and are totally covered with a Trevira coloured fabric. Decho® Baffles are available in a wide selection of colours and textures (200 colours) or may be customized with any photographic print.
