Interventions to reduce indoor reverberation and noise, realized with suspended ceiling elements in vertical position, are commonly defined “acoustic treatments with baffles”.
The name baffle (or rather “septum” or “deflector”) identifies the double absorbing panels, installed to the ceiling in series and in vertical position, with wheelbase and ceiling distances evaluated after acoustic assessments.
This particular installation setup increases the acoustic performances if compared to the more traditional acoustic systems with horizontal continuous elements (false ceilings), or with suspended horizontal modules, as it exposes both the panel faces to the noise source. The particular “sharp” geometry helps to fragment the incident sound waves through the acoustic phenomenon of diffraction.
Even in the more decorative aspects, baffles applications can be an interesting mode of intervention, as they are able to give character to the usual ceiling flatness: baffle panels can afford a new and effective aesthetic value to such surfaces, often marginally considered during the design process.
Among the numerous product variants that SILENT™ offers for the acoustic correction, a solution with baffle modules couldn’t miss, at all.
SILENT™ Baffle line offers a wide catalogue of geometrical designs and sizes, to be hanged to the ceiling through very simple installing modes, without requiring any professional installer.
