The Milan Furniture Fair (Space S.Project - Hall 22) will be an opportunity for us to present two new collections designed by the studios Form Us With Love and Iratzoki & Lizaso. The challenge put forward by Alki was to design a chair combining solid wood with metal tubing. The objective was to create a broad range encompassing a lounge chair, stools and various models of stackable chairs. Form us With Love came up with a family of items based on a single wooden shell that, tilted and positioned differently, fulfils all these functions… So, the Atal range is made up of a straight, high stool, a welcoming armchair, a simple chair and an inviting, comfy lounge chair. In partnership with Iratzoki & Lizaso Studio, Alki is launching its office chair designed for people who don’t like office chairs. Two years ago, we set a challenge: create an office chair that complies with the ergonomic codes of this category of furniture while also adhering to the Alki universe, characterized by warmth and emotional attachment. The functional characteristics of the Lan chair are inconspicuous: the mechanism disappears under the seat and the armrests form an integral part of the backrest. Meticulous work has been carried out on the shape, the contact zones and the choice of materials in order to create a congenial and comfortable object.
