Single APG K-Horn™ acoustic load 1 x 15" Neodymium cone driver (4" voice coil) The TB115S subwoofer offers both high quality ergonomics and high level sonic performance. It provides an extremely advantageous power/ size ratio. Its sound pressure capacity associated to its high quality sound reproduction generates a strong physical kick. The TB115S is equipped with a convection cooled neodymium 15" woofer and loaded with a low pass type double interactive chamber. This type of load enables a 3 dB gain on the bandwidth. The front chamber opens onto a K-horn™ design giving it an additional 3 dB gain. Associated with the convection cooled technology used with the neodymium woofer, thermal compression is reduced by nearly 2 dB. All these optimizations naturally lead to a very impressive dynamic and an important maximum SPL. The acoustic load provides excellent control over the diaphragm displacement increasing the mechanical reliability while diminishing the harmonic distortion. The cabinet is specifically designed to enable one person to handle it on his own. Taking advantage of its asymmetric shape, the TB115S is suitable for various configurations: network line, cardioid source, "sub arc" design, etc. APG supplies presets and parameters for all these configurations.
