Finish and material
The oak surface is treated with natural oil to preserve the material's tactile qualities while providing a protective layer. This finish enhances the grain pattern and highlights the differences and uniqueness of each piece without masking the natural texture. The wood pore is left open to display the living character of the material and its evolution over time. The door leaf is veneered with multiple sliced wood veneer layers arranged with vertical and horizontal grain patterns. The outer surface shows horizontal grain with pantographed decorative incisions that reveal the vertical grain of the underlying layer.
