Description

Ten new interior textile creations to escape even further with mixtures of natural materials harvested by hand, often endemic to certain countries, manually transformed into skeins to be woven strand by strand on traditional hand looms. Each name in this collection starting with the letter S is an evocation of the Pacific Islands, or a translation into the Philippine vernacular of the verb “Sinta” which means to love. Abaca, raffia, Romblon, Lampacanay, Bakbak and Salago are ancestral natural fibers extracted from banana trees, palm trees, water hyacinth and tree bark, returning to the spotlight in an era where natural fiber linked to know-how doing tradition invite us to escape into the true simplicity of luxury. References that tell the story of the interlacing of a discreet Philippine cotton warp to highlight the diversity of nuances and tones of the natural fibers in the weft. Each production is a unique piece by the very nature of its fiber but also by the hand of the weaver which underlines his know-how like a signature.
