bocad-3D/Edit is a modular system for the creation of individual and dynamic macros navigated by dialogue boxes. The application area ranges from small construction assistants up to complete connections and construction parts. The functionality of a macro is structured by logically sequenced tasks which are executed one after the other. Each task consists of basic bocad-3D functions such as definition of planes, creation and modification of members, bolt and weld connections as well as various help functions. The tasks can be referenced to variable parameters in various ways to maintain the desired dynamic of the macros. Such parameters could for example be defined variable groups, dates of picked parts and deposited data records and formulae. Basically there is a difference between the dialogue boxes for the user and the macro creator. The creator has all tools available whereas the user can only modify the necessary variable values.The user is lead by a graphical macro selection designed by the creator as well as support when executing. The passing on of your own macros to third parties is indeed possible within the framework of the software contract. Like this the application of your macros is available to any bocad user without needingto purchase further licenses.
