Maintenance
No regular maintenance required. The unit is shipped with a light protective oil film—wash with lukewarm soapy water after installation to remove the film. The surface will naturally patinate over weeks and develop the characteristic warm rust tone. A light saltwater spray can accelerate patination. The patina protects the steel against through-corrosion; no further treatment is necessary.
