Usage notes
The first few times the fire pit insert is heated, the material may expand slightly due to tension. After a couple of uses, it will settle and remain stable.

Maintenance

• Delivered with a light oil film and is therefore not rusted upon delivery
• We recommend washing with mild soapy water after installation to remove the oil film; after this the rusting process begins naturally (typically within a few weeks depending on rainfall)
• The patina develops from light orange to deeper brownish tones and forms a protective surface that extends the product’s lifetime
• Corten steel lasts significantly longer than ordinary steel and can, under Danish conditions, last 50 years or more
• When placed on tiles or wood, a base plate is recommended — rust marks can be removed with oxalic acid
