Cartel has reissued the Galvanitas S19 chair, reviving the famous vintage chair used by Dutch communities in the 1960s. The Pagwood seat, made from resin-injected plywood, gives the chair both flexibility and strength. The lacquered compass base is available in a range of colours (white, black, pink or green). The shell is also available in two colours: oak and ebony. Comfortable and elegant, it's equally at home as an office, lounge or dining chair, or in a restaurant. With its simple, airy look, it adapts to any environment while adding a touch of design. These chairs were designed as part of the reconstruction of post-war Europe, using as few materials as possible, while guaranteeing durability both physically and aesthetically. They are manufactured in Germany and the Netherlands using the same materials and processes as those used in the late 50s when they were designed.
