By using fireplace inserts with a water jacket, the heat generated can be used not only for the room, but also to heat the entire house. This technology is known as a “water-bearing fireplace”. A water-bearing fireplace is usually combined with a buffer storage tank, which stores the heat energy and releases it to the house heating system as needed. The buffer storage tank is an important part of the system, as it ensures that the heat energy is available when it is needed. The fireplace insert has an efficiency of over 80% to 90% and low exhaust gas values (BImSchV Level 2).
