For basic finish of wooden floors. A lye finish stops the natural patination process. Dinesen Lye is especially suitable for Dinesen Douglas and Dinesen Pine, as the mild lye gives the floor a delicate, light appearance. A lye finish is the first part of the basic finish. After the lye finish, the wood requires finishing with Dinesen Floor Soap White, Dinesen Floor Soap Natural or Dinesen Oil, which is available in White, Light and Natural. It is important to use Dinesen Lye, as other types of lye may discolour the wood. Lye finish is not recommended for Dinesen Oak.
