Staircase constructed over 3 floors in this up market retailer in Guilford Surrey. This was an extremely challenging project because we had to deliver 3 double flight staircases with additional glass floors and over 100 linear metres of toughened glass balustrade within a 5 week contract period. The carriage was fabricated from 2 mild steel stringers bolted together using precision countersunk high strength fixings. The treads were heavy duty folded stainless steel with a precast concrete infill. Glass balustrade was 19mm toughened glass with a satin polished stainless steel handrail. We had to work to very tight tolerances because the staircase structure also incorporated the glass floors and the roof light support.The client and the main contractor were very delighted with the level of effort and commitment shown by Elite Metalcraft from design stages through to completion.
