Kyoto Tin Gold the sober elegance of the essential!
Kyoto Tin Gold is a collection of forged cutlery (except for the hollow chopsticks) designed in a traditional Japanese style, entirely recyclable, and composed of 15 items in 18/10 (AISI 304) stainless steel with a glossy and Tin Gold PVD finish. The knives, made of hardened AISI 420 martensitic stainless steel, a material that ensures the blade's sharpness lasts over time, are more sensitive to corrosion.
Mirror polishing cutlery is a surface processing process through which, with the use of special rollers and fine-grained abrasive pastes, the required gloss is obtained.
PVD stands for Physical Vapor Deposition. It is a technology used to colour steel by depositing very thin metal films. The process takes place inside vacuum chambers and consists of evaporating and subsequently condensing the metals on the cutlery. This treatment, with a range of gorgeous colours, not only enhances the cutlery but also makes it more resistant to wear and tear and scratches and is perfectly sustainable and suitable for use in the food industry.
The main feature is the simplicity of the clean, iconic shapes.
The design developed on the idea of purity and balance between the handle's lightness and the spoon cups' curves. The detail of the engraved ring, the focal point between the square handle and the conical part of the neck of the cutlery, highlights the basic but not banal shape. This interruption element allows further combinations of finishes and colors.
