The AIRE lighting collection blends technology and sustainability. The shade is made of recycled PETG and has a transparent, textured finish. The 3D-printed shapes are like air bubbles that fill the space, giving it personality and elegance. Thanks to the crystalline appearance and surface texture, the light is magically diffused through the shade. The Aire 450 luminaire can be used individually or with other luminaires from the collection to create unique light compositions. A vindication of circularity Tierra, Mar and Aire is a collection of luminaires based on two ideas: the democratization of large-scale 3D printing and an interest in circularity and sustainability. The three collections are conceived as a gesture of protest about the need to reconsider our relationship with the planet. Designed by Héctor Serrano Designed by Héctor Serrano, whose design studio based in London has been working on innovative and timeless projects for over 20 years. Héctor Serrano's focus is on creating products and spaces that engage people in the most human, emotional, and extraordinary way possible. Manufactured using 3D printing Tierra, Mar and Aire are manufactured using large-scale 3D printing from 100% recycled and recyclable plastics and bioplastics, locally, on demand and without molds, which reduces the environmental impact of their storage and transportation. Inspiration The inspiration for Aire arises from the moment when the air itself is conceived as the material for the luminaires, which is airtight to plastic and becomes an integral part of the object. Therefore, Aire forms large bubbles that fill the space, giving it personality and sophistication. The simplicity of the Aire collection highlights the material's striations, creating an attractive optical effect that resembles craftsmanship. Recycled and sustainable materials The Aire collection is made from 100% recycled PET, the most recycled plastic in the world. While its composition allows it to be recycled multiple times while maintaining its characteristics, only 9% of global plastic waste is recycled. Available in 3 sizes Thanks to 3D printing, Aire can be manufactured in large sizes that would not be possible through other production processes due to its weight. Tierra, Mar and Aire: Calm, Honesty and Versatility Tierra, Mar and Aire are visually distinct and independent, but they share three common concepts. Calmness: Their simple, friendly, and timeless shapes allow the details of their finishes to shine. Honesty: No artifices are added to enhance the value of the striations. Versatility: The absence of molds allows for variations in the morphology of the luminaires.
