PLEASE NOTE: Dot creates a beautiful, ombre effect, but it can be tricky to hang for non-professionals, so we recommend only experienced hands hang it. We recommend ordering all the rolls you need in one go because using traditional techniques and real paint, like we do, means pattern and colour can vary very slightly between batches. You can always return any unopened rolls you didn’t need (unless they’re Archive papers). A coat of the background colour is brushed on, creating the same visible brushstrokes, texture and added depth it would have in the 18th century. Then the embellishment follows, using flatbed, roller or the open-trough method.
