Description

The big news is Flaminia’s brand-new collaboration with young and talented Elena Salmistraro, a designer regarded as a unicum on the current design scene on account of her fantastic, surreal, highly creative language. Having acquired extensive experience working with artistic and handcrafted ceramics, she tried her hand at fashioning industrialised products. Of this new venture came Spire: a collection of countertop washbasins which call to mind the sinuous forms of a natural element, like a shell. The sculptural quality of the basin underscores the beauty of the ceramic; wide, varying size edges characterise this project which appears different depending on the point of view. The new version with ceramic relief, Spire+, represents a synthesis between the stylistic code of the designer and the production experience of the company.
