Design
Christophe Pillet’s design approach pursues beauty and emotional expression in the ordinary. The First Steps chair expresses this approach through a lyrically simple silhouette that evokes the archetypal chair while remaining contemporary. The same design language is applied to the bar stool variant.

Materials and construction
The sinuous metal frame rises to form a painted backrest. The seat and back are hand-woven and offered in two natural weaving options: twisted paper rush cord or pure cellulose paper cord. The seat weaving is entirely handcrafted.

• Structure: metal with burnished or glossy anthracite, matt titanium 710, white 100, or matte lacquered in sand 610, green 630, brick 620, white 160
• Finish plus structure: metal with satin, chrome or black chrome finish
• Seat / backrest: woven twisted paper rush cord or pure cellulose paper cord in natural 4002 or anthracite 4005
• Tips: metal with transparent finish; feet rest on thermoplastic glides
