Description

Overview
ORTIGIA OUTDOOR is the alfresco version of the Ortigia seating family, combining a solid-wood structural aesthetic with a hand-woven backrest designed for outdoor dining and contract settings. The product balances traditional joinery and contemporary outdoor performance for professional projects.

Materials & construction
The frame is crafted from solid iroko wood using artisanal cabinetmaking techniques. Feet are die-cast metal alloy (zama) with milled finishing and thermoplastic tips. The seat uses marine plywood and polyurethane foam and is covered with a water-repellent laminated fabric; upholstery is removable for maintenance.

Available options for woven/backrest finishes
  • Woven polypropylene cord — colors: sand 8001, anthracite 8005, bordeaux 8002, green 8006, white 8007, brown 8004
  • Extruded PVC with nylon core — colors: anthracite 7005, bordeaux 7002, white 7007, cream 7001, brown 7004, green 7006
  • Matt polypropylene cord — colors: natural 8102, ice 8103, anthracite 8105, straw 8101

Feet
Feet in die-cast zama with burnished, matt titanium 710 finish. Feet rest on thermoplastic tips to protect flooring and increase durability.

Seat & upholstery
Seat core: marine-grade plywood and polyurethane foam. Protective laminated, water-repellent covering on the seat. Upholstery is removable and available in specified fabrics suitable for outdoor use.

Product family & versions
The Ortigia family includes: armchair with armrests, armchair without armrests (pairable with a footstool), and dining chair — enabling coordinated seating schemes for terraces, restaurants, and hospitality projects.

Care & accessories
To preserve appearance and performance, use the dedicated waterproof covers (available on request, extra charge). Regular cleaning and storage during prolonged bad weather are recommended.
