Description
With Horizon Sunpowered, Franciaflex offers a solar version of its monobloc retractable awning designed to cover large areas. This model retains the structural qualities of the Horizon awning — robustness, modularity and large-format capability — while integrating an autonomous solar drive that simplifies installation. The drive is powered by a battery rechargeable via a photovoltaic panel, allowing extension or retraction of the awning independently of mains power.

Usage and sizing
The Horizon model was developed to meet the needs of large terraces, both residential and commercial. The most requested formats — solar retractable awning 3x3, 4x3, 5x3 or 6x3 — fit comfortably within its dimensional capabilities. The micrometric adjustable tilt from 5° to 45° allows precise setting of the awning angle to optimise solar protection.

Solar operation
The photovoltaic panel captures solar energy and recharges a battery that powers the awning drive. The panel can be positioned for optimal exposure or remote-mounted to improve energy capture depending on the installation. The awning remains operational during power outages, ensuring independent operation.
