With Plaza 2 Sunpowered, Franciaflex offers a solution particularly suited to outdoor areas where fitting a conventional wall-mounted awning is difficult. This freestanding double-pitch model combines the mobility of a freestanding awning with an autonomous solar drive, allowing the easy creation of a comfortable shaded area without electrical connection.

Detailed description
In this configuration the Plaza 2 becomes a mobile solar retractable awning, capable of being installed in the heart of a garden, on a standalone terrace or at the centre of a professional outdoor space. The energy required to operate the awning is provided by a photovoltaic panel that recharges an integrated battery, allowing the motor to run without dependency on the mains. This autonomy is particularly relevant for areas with limited access to power (remote garden terraces, external restaurant areas, temporary event spaces).

The design of the Plaza 2 Sunpowered freestanding double-pitch awning is based on a self-supporting structure mounted on feet, enabling installation without wall fixing. Its extruded aluminium frame and robust posts provide excellent stability while remaining relatively lightweight. Unlike a conventional wall-mounted awning, the Plaza 2 can be positioned in the centre of the outdoor area, offering great layout freedom.

The Sunpowered solar drive allows operation by radio remote control. The photovoltaic panel powers a rechargeable battery offering autonomy of up to 40 cycles without recharging, and can be aimed or offset to optimise solar capture.

The 300 g/m² acrylic fabric provides strong UV protection, weather resistance and good colour fastness. The valance can be customised (shapes and branding) for commercial applications.
