Description

PIPE EMERGED FROM DESIGNER IDA HILDEBRAND’S PASSION FOR ELEGANT FORM AND STRONG SILHOUETTES. THE CONCEPT TOOK SHAPE WITH FRIENDS & FOUNDERS’ EXPERTISE IN USING MODERN PRODUCTION TO ACHIEVE HIGH CRAFTSMANSHIP AND EXQUISITE DETAILING. IN THE PIPE CHAIR THE DESIGNER’S EMPHASIS ON BALANCE AND COMFORT CREATED AN ELEGANT EXPERIENCE AND ONE MADE TO LAST. PIPE was named to evoke parts of a functional whole like the stem and bowl of a tobacco pipe. Each component has design and a valuable purpose. Besides this, the silhouette of the chair “the piping” has striking similarity to the shape of a well-crafted, handmade pipe. THE GENEROUS SPACE OF THE CHAIR OFFERS EXCELLENT COMFORT WHILE THE GRACEFUL SHAPE EMBRACES YOU. From all angles the chair´s extravagant, organic shape shows off beautiful detailing which underlines the thoughtful work of the designer. The generous space of the chair offers excellent comfort while the graceful shape embraces you. Pipe chair shows great craftsmanship in its details. And the back legs of the frame support the shape of the shell which enhance the characteristic form and outline of the armrest. A thin, elegant frame supports the chair in a way that integrates a light feel with robust strength. The geometry allows a sturdy design without re-inforcement. That means reduced weight and material use, benefits from the perspectives of sustainability as well as function.
