Peter Ghyczy likes symmetries. But here he combines symmetry with an organic shape, inspired by a woman’s breasts. The floor lamp Dolly has an artistic almost futuristic yet elegant look. The lamp has the shape of an egg and resembles a Fabergé egg. where each half of the lamp is made of hand blown glass and looks like a women’s breast with a nipple. The two half oval shaped glasses are connected with a metal ring, that is hand casted and preserving the characteristic of the traditional craftsmanship process. The lamp sits on a thin round rode ending on a square elegant pedestal. The lamp Dolly can also be ordered as for example a wall or pendant lamp. The lamp Dolly is designed by Peter and son Felix Ghyczy and made to last in the atelier of GHYCZY with carefully selected materials.
