With the translucent heat insulation insert Thermolight®100 U-profiled glass facades can be economically adapted to fit the modern requirements of room climate, lighting and energy efficiency. This is reflected in the enhanced heat insulation value (U-value), a lowered heat influx in the summer (low g-value) and very good glare protection. The high amount of scattered light improves the room illumination during the daylight hours. The Thermolight®100 insulation inserts consist of very thin, spun glass fibers, which are coated with a light-stable binding agent and interwoven to form a very light and translucent glass fiber mat. The enclosed, „standing“ air cushion provides a very good heat insulation. The woven glass fibers provide perfect light scattering and room illumination without harsh shadows.
