The Broughton 943 Barrier is dual beam vehicle barrier which has been Crash Tested with both a 4 and 6 metre clear openings in accordance with the requirements of PAS68:2010. This lightweight design allows faster operation and greater durability than traditional “Big and Heavy” systems. Uniquely the 941/2/3 range of Barriers use identical foundations, support structures, and lifting mechanisms, allowing total flexibility of protection level together with the ability to up-grade site protection levels should the risk profile change. It addition to PAS 68 certification the barrier is also certified under the PSSA scheme, guaranteeing not only Impact performance, but also quality control and compliance with all relevant UK and European standards. The 943 is part of the Broughton ‘940i’ series of scalable barriers offering the potential to upgrade the protection level should the site security profile change. The barrier incorporates a shallow foundation mounting system to allow simple, low cost, ease of installation. Suitable for high volume traffic situations the Broughton 943 Barrier has been created to protect high risk sites where vehicle impact attack is a real threat. While primarily intended for outdoor use, it can also be used indoors in buildings such as warehouses. Opening widths are available from 4 metres to 6 metres.
