The collection interprets the theme of trees, without imitating them, but developing the suggestion of the formal motif and the morphogenetic laws. An atmosphere of naturalness and warmth, conveyed by a process of rational selection in search of the symbolic value of form. Throughout its long history, mankind has always lived in a symbiotic relationship with trees and their fruits, an irreplaceable source of protection, food, energy and health care. The roots of trees are buried in the ground, but their crowns point to the sky: trees connect two infinities, marking the boundary that defines the human habitat. Trees have a longer life than ours: they are considered wise and silent repositories of the memory of events. Their laws of growth, recently studied by the mathematics of fractals, are symbolic of vital processes. The diminished presence of nature in the contemporary environment is the reason for a growing interest in trees: even an artificial tree, mimetic or even allusive, plays a compensatory role.
