Kanchan, a 40-year-old weaver from Achrol, Rajasthan, considers weaving a child's game rather than a learned skill. Her rugs reflect her time spent in the kitchen, with colors and textures resembling food being cooked, and she incorporates shades and textures from her garden. Her village calls her "Sanskari Devi" due to her love for culture and tradition, and she weaves rugs aligned with her values. During the lockdown, Kanchan wove a Manchaha named 'Chunari' after her love for Chunari print clothes. The inspiration came from her daughter's wedding, where they all wore new clothes with Chunari prints.
