Description

Waterproofing membrane, also known as sealing mat or sealing fiber, is made from polyethylene fiber that is resistant to tearing. Its main task is waterproofing floors and walls in the bathroom. The membrane easily merges with other sealing materials made of polymer, reactive resin or liquid rubber thus creating an effective protection from water. Steigner waterproofing membranes are available in two variants: 1 m or 2 m blue mat 1 m red mat Waterproof mat is also available in the form of a tape, corner and pipe collar. WATERPROOF MEMBRANE’S PROPERTIES The mat is irreplaceable when waterproofing a bathroom. It is extremely stretchy and watertight, inhibits water vapor and prevents moisture form entering into the building materials. It is resistant to various temperatures (from -30˚C to +90˚C or -22˚F to 194˚F) and aging. Sealing membrane can be successfully used when sealing walls in bathrooms, swimming pools, saunas, steam baths and wherever there is high humidity. HOW TO INSTALL A SEALING MEMEBRANE? The installation of Steigner waterproof mat is quick and easy. Apply liquid rubber. While it is still wet, apply the sealing membrane, tape, corners and pipe collars. Make overlaps at least 5 cm wide at the joints. Remove all unevenness with a trowel. When the layer is dry apply liquid rubber again. Remember that waterproofing is necessary in the renovation and construction of rooms exposed to high humidity!
