Window seal SFD10-S protects the interior from noise, water, frost, heat, insects and other undesirable factors. It is easy to assemble. Fits PVC and wooden doors and windows.
The TPE material (thermoplastic elastomer) used in SFD10-S window seal production is strong, flexible and resistant to weather conditions. The seal does not deform. It is a recommended replacement for used original elements.
HOW TO CARE FOR WINDOW AND DOOR SEALS?
The seal may loose its properties after prolonged use despite its durability and strength. This may occur because of: incorrect installation, frequent usage, treatment with aggressive chemicals, etc. That’s why all seals should be checked regularly. Worn out seals can let in cool air and wind, thereby increasing the cost of heating. If an item no longer meets expectations, replace it with a new one.
WHAT MATERIALS ARE STEIGNER SEALS MADE OUT OF?
Steigner seals D, E, P and V are made of EPDM material (ethylene-propylene diene terpolymer). Its chemical composition and structure makes the elements extremely durable (about 8 years of durability). They are resistant to UV radiation, ozone and various weather conditions. Seals retain their flexibility even during long-term frosts or hot weather.
SFD and STD seals are made of TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) material. It’s a mixture of hard thermoplastics with rubber. TPE is flexible, resistant to abrasion or aging. It is environmentally safe.
Silicone used in the production of the Omega profile seals is distinguished by shape memory and resistance to weather conditions. It is also waterproof. Silicone is a completely non-toxic material.
