A design completed in 2019 by JM Architecture, an internationally renowned Milan-based firm founded by Jacopo Mascheroni, combines formal purity with state-of-the-art architectural and technological solutions, including the extensive use of Laminam exterior cladding, for maximum energy efficiency. The result is a private residence which masterfully combines aesthetics with respect for the environment
With its large size, minimum thickness surfaces which outperform the natural materials which inspired them, Laminam contributed to cladding much of the ventilated façade system of the Geneva Villa, Special Mention at “La Ceramica e il Progetto” 2020 in the Residential Category. A well-deserved accolade for a design completed in 2019, which brings sustainability and minimalist architecture together with extremely elegant, refined results in a single-family residence of great aesthetic and visual value, situated on the outflow from Lake Leman in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood in Geneva, the Swiss capital of international diplomacy.
Integrating the architecture with its natural surroundings and landscape and using multiple energy-saving solutions take priority for every project. This sustainable approach led to the selection of Laminam surfaces in the Nero finish from the Collection series, in the 1000×3000 mm size and 5+ thickness. They were used to cover much of the façades of the two levels above ground, of the three which form the villa’s structure.
