MATERASSINO CS: UNDER-TILE SOUND PROOFING ACOUSTIC UNDERLAY
Materassino CentroStorico is an under-tile sound proofing acoustic underlay mat that is applied between the screed and the floor finish (tiles, wood, etc.), reducing the transmission of impact noise (footfall noise and falling objects) transmitted to storeys below; sound proofing with Materassino requires a minimum thickness, without the need to realize a floating screed.
The flexible acoustic underlay Materassino is applied by gluing it on both sides: a first gluing to adhere the underlay to the substrate (screed, or existing flooring in certain conditions, etc.) and then a second gluing to stick the floor finish (tiles, wood, etc.) to the Materassino underlay.
This technique allows a considerable increase in acoustic performance in a very small extra thickness (a few millimetres).
Materassino CentroStorico is easy to apply and is supplied in a kit with its accessories (flanking band and an overlapping tape) to ensure satisfactory insulation without acoustic bridges.
FIELDS OF USE
• Acoustic insulation against impact noise between the screed and the flooring in intermediate floors.
• Direct laying of any flooring (ceramic tiles, adhered or floating wood floorboards and similar) using the usual adhesives.
Ideal in case of low available thickness and in the renovation of existing slabs and floors where there is not enough thickness to realize a floating screed.
