Overview Natural Genius Supernova, the cosmic vision by Pietro Olioso for Listone Giordano, transforms classic parquet into a continuous, non-directional hardwood flooring system. The design uses a single organic module to create a surface that reads as an infinite texture and interacts dynamically with light for an iridescent visual effect.

Concept The system is built around one engineered organic module whose concave and convex profiles interlock through rotation. This assembly breaks the linearity of traditional planks and generates a surface without a preferred orientation, enabling seamless repetition and a sustained visual rhythm across large areas.

The expansion of light Supernova’s appearance changes with the direction of the wood grain in each piece: reflections shift as natural or artificial light moves across the surface, producing subtle iridescence and depth. The result is a material that establishes an emotional and sensory link between architecture, craftsmanship and natural phenomena.
