DESIGNED BY MARCEL WANDERS STUDIO, THE COLLECTION IS INSPIRED BY THE TRAVELLER'S SYNDROME AND BY THE NEED TO EXPLORE DIFFERENT CULTURES, TRANSFORMING ITSELF INTO EXTREMELY DECORATIVE WALLPAPERS, CAPABLE OF TRANSFORMING ENVIRONMENTS INTO DESTINATIONS. Inspired by the famous the Oriental stories “One Thousand and One Nights”, this pattern graced the interiors of the Mondrian Doha, a hotel in Qatar designed by Marcel Wanders. The design is based on a blend of elements sourced from local craftsmanship, featuring painted miniatures, ornate Arabic script and famous souks. All these elements are then merged with the signature traits of Marcel Wanders, including references to Amsterdam and its history.
