Lake Tuz is, as the name in Turkish says, a salt lake. There, a certain type of algae cohabits and blossoms before the summer months, which leads to the appearance of a red pigment in the water, turning the saline into a blood-like pool. As the lake starts to evaporate, its salt creates stunning white, asymmetric, curved lines across the area. This phenomenon allows people to walk across the dry lake during summer, being a heartful experience. Inspired by such, Malabar designed the Saline Modern Center Table with a marble table top that takes us to the stunning Lake Tuz and its seasonal transformation. Structured in Brazilian rosewood, this piece is involved in details in polished and brushed brass, a gradient combination of three different marbles and reflective oxidized mirror.
