The Camelia Center Table is an extension of the Camelia Folding Screen concept. Using a pattern typical of the 17th century style, many walls in Lisbon contemplate embroidered camelias and, taking this concept, Malabar created this piece. The Camelia handmade center table has a layered structure composed by walnut wood veneered and gold leaf coated wood finished with high gloss varnish, adorned with hand-painted wooden tiles with floral motifs. The Portuguese tiles or Azulejo are one of the main elements in Portuguese architecture. The mix between traditional inspirations and modern design turns Camelia Center Table into a remarkable piece that implements a cultural tradition in elegant living rooms.
