The Astoria Custom is for tone seekers who want it vintage but with the convenience of contemporary features, such as: valve driven true bypass footswitchable FX Loop and independent Loop Level control, with added tonal shaping and footswitchable gain Boost. The Body feature adds girth to your sound for chunkier riffing. It works by adding a +8dB shelved low frequency boost from 120Hz downwards. Footswitchable Boost increases the amount of gain by +20dB for standout solo work. The Brightness pull switch function gives extra sparkle and definition to your sound by providing a +6dB shelved high frequency boost from 4 kHz upwards. The Power Reduction pull switch drops the amplifier’s output power from 30 Watts to 5 Watts, which produces softer tones and a less ‘in your face’ sound. Edge makes the overall characteristic sound of the amplifier brighter or darker. To achieve this, it cuts high frequencies between the phase splitter and the power valves.
