Safety is the number one priority here. That’s why MEA’s spiral staircases are particularly ideal for power stations, petrochemical plants and tanks and the majority of sewage treatment works. Gratings can also be supplied by MEA Metal Applications as stairs – for example in the form of spiral staircases. Our spiral staircases meet the demands of modern stairbuilding and are ideal whenever spiral staircase structures have to comply with the very highest safety requirements. Owing to the modular design, both clockwise and anticlockwise staircases are possible. Stair steps are expected to offer higher slip protection than other gratings. That’s why all MEA spiral staircases are manufactured with a double perforated safety step edge. In addition to increased slip resistance, this also ensures better stability. Spiral staircases are manufactured using the same process as gratings. We naturally also supply spiral staircases made from crude or galvanised steel and with or without a tubular sleeve depending on each customer’s requirements.
