Description

Overview
The MEIKO M-iFlow IPB is an automation module that removes food waste from trays, plates and cutlery on flight-type/conveyor dishwashing lines. It is designed to increase throughput and reduce labour and handling in high-volume catering operations such as canteens, schools and hospitals.

How it works
  • Full trays are transported from the dish return into the M-iFlow IPB.
  • Dishware is placed into shafts ergonomically for processing.
  • Plates and bowls are rotated, pre-cleaned and passed to the washing section automatically.
  • Trays and cutlery are conveyed onwards, washed and collected.

Integrated food waste management
The M-iFlow IPB removes food waste automatically and collects it centrally. Depending on the selected version, waste is either deposited in a removable container, homogenised and pumped to a tank, or fed into an existing vacuum collection system for downstream handling.

Versions
  • BOX: Collection in a removable box for sites with low waste volumes. Benefits: simple installation, low maintenance, easy emptying.
  • GRIND: Homogeniser and pump for larger waste volumes; reduces manual handling and collection frequency.
  • VACUUM: Connects to an existing vacuum piping system to integrate with central waste logistics.

Your benefits
  • Reduced operating costs: Up to 50% fewer staff required at the feeding section versus an equivalent line without M-iFlow IPB.
  • Higher throughput: Faster dish processing through automation.
  • Integrated waste handling: Automatic separation and transport of food waste to collection points.
  • Improved ergonomics: Less manual handling and reduced physical strain for staff.
  • Operational flexibility: Stable staffing needs despite fluctuating covers.
  • Simplified workflow: Clear feeding process and easy operation for kitchen teams.

Applications & typical settings
Suitable for school canteens, university catering, company canteens, hospitals and other high-throughput foodservice facilities prioritising hygiene, efficiency and reduced labour.
