Product descriptionFor the shape of etherea, Claudio Silvestrin drew inspiration from the ether, the fifth vital element according to Plato, and from forms in Mother Nature. Right angles disappear, yielding to soft, continuous movements that follow energy flows, the fluidity of water and air currents. The island's joints become vein-like lines that follow a natural, harmonic rhythm, producing a kitchen shaped by the same laws as nature. Tall unit doors lose their traditional static presence to become fluid lines, concealing kitchen functions and merging aesthetic and technical aspects into a continuous, harmonious gesture.
Concept and formAt the center of each door, a source point evokes the origin from which invisible energies flow, introducing movement and life into the surface. The intention is to de-materialize the kitchen object, making it ethereal in an almost natural beauty beyond linear time: an object that transcends past and future, suspended in the essence of its being.
Material and technologyThe material used is Corian, selected for its expressive and technical properties. A solid, shapeable, thermoformable surface that enables continuity between worktop, doors and island, dissolving boundaries between surface and volume and allowing a visual suspension while preserving the practicality of the work surface.
DesignerDesigned by Claudio Silvestrin. The design approach emphasizes restraint, serenity and a meditative attitude to architecture: essentiality, attention to detail, clarity and formal quality that prioritize vision over spectacle.
VariantsThe family includes several display variations of the project, including versions exhibited under local/territorial names while maintaining the same formal and material principles.
