The collection is based on the concept of sedimentation and Mediterranean craft traditions. Several types of lavas and soils chromatically compatible with each other, combine and blend enriching and softening the black base of recycled ceramic on which they are deposited. The collection has a dual soul, which combines the latest technological innovation with original craft techniques. Mutina and Patricia Urquiola have wanted to propose terracotta’s manual processing techniques. The desire to get out of the two-dimensionality of the wall covering, results in the experimentation of the brick, giving shape to new design elements that are aesthetically beautiful and functional with endless application solutions for indoor and outdoor. Elements that emerge from the earth, in their material imperfection, and are then marked by the touch of man and the passing of time.
