DescriptionMATIZ reinterprets traditional weaving techniques by shifting the focus from pre-dyed yarns to an experimental finishing process. Each rug starts from a handwoven single-colour base; after weaving, a contrasting tone is applied by manual dyeing so the pigment interacts organically with the woven surface.

Available coloursFiber & Composition- 65% Hand spun Afghan Wool — Hand spun Afghan wool comes from sheep grazing high in the mountains of Afghanistan. Naturally wavy, it is a highly resistant material with a coarse touch. The curl and irregularity of the yarn give the weave an aged, unique appearance.
- 35% New Zealand Wool — New Zealand wool is known for its whiteness, purity and natural softness, influenced by altitude and local vegetation. Sourced with cruelty-free guarantees.
Technique- Hand loomed Dhurrie — Use of recycled yarns reduces unmanaged waste and CO2 emissions by avoiding production and transport of virgin materials. The original tones of these yarns preserve the irregularity and tonal richness of the wool surface.
