Description

Susanne Grønlund is the designer behind the Midas armchair. The curved shape of the GM Midas armchair not only provides a very good sitting comfort, but also adds a very special expression that signals both authenticity, elegance and exclusivity. Midas is a chair with strong roots in history, combining Danish and international design traditions with its elaborate wood, slim design, and high sitting comfort. The moulded wooden elements of the chair have been produced and cut into soft curves that welcome you as you sit down. The distance between the individual parts varies – sometimes the curves follow each other, while in other places they approach each other elegantly before going their separate ways again. The chair’s graphic curves blend well with the frame, giving the chair a modest lightness that fits perfectly in the modern home. With a simple black powder coated frame the chair becomes light and elegant. The Midas armchair is made in mouldes wood in ash, oak and wallnut. The Midas armchair was one of the winners of the American GOOD DESIGN AWARD in 2019.
