recycled plastic, low-density polyethylene (LDPE)

Description

The Ocity NGR65 cellular slab stabilizes gravel and grassed surfaces while preserving soil permeability. Its honeycomb/open-cell structure provides mechanical strength, promotes three-dimensional root development and ensures a stable, driveable surface ideal for urban landscaping.

Main applications:
  • Urban parking areas
  • Driveways (light-vehicle, occasional)
  • Pathways and pedestrian areas
  • Fire access routes and utility/maintenance tracks

Key benefits:
  • Excellent mechanical strength through honeycomb geometry for aggregate stability
  • Promotes deep and three-dimensional grass root development for dense anchoring of vegetated surfaces
  • Fully permeable — supports natural rainwater infiltration, reduces runoff and limits soil compaction
  • Made from 100% recycled and recyclable LDPE — environmental responsibility and resource management
  • Lightweight, easy to handle and quick to install
  • UV-resistant finish and durable for long-lasting aesthetics

Installation summary:
  • Excavate soil and check subgrade permeability; if inadequate, provide safety drainage.
  • Install an anti-contamination geotextile.
  • Prepare a load-bearing, draining foundation layer according to subgrade characteristics.
  • Stabilise edges with borders and compact in successive layers.
  • Prepare a screeded and compacted bedding layer as foundation.
  • Lay slabs progressively following the layout plan, place fixings in the direction of progress and repeat row by row.
  • Cutting is possible at edges (avoid cutting in trafficked zones; place cuts in non-trafficked areas if possible).
  • Once slabs are installed, fill with the appropriate infill material (grass infill or gravel) and compact as required.
