Description
This is a genuine reproduction from an original design by Jean-Baptiste Tilliard, French master working in Paris in the 17th century. Tilliard's work is typical of the Louis XV style. The unique style of the Bergère "à oreilles" lies in its "ears" (oreilles in French), that is the sides of chair that come up all the way along the back of the chair. Ornately carved vine and flower motifs in the feet and on the top add to its elegance.
