OverviewPilkington Insulight™ Sun insulated glass units are designed primarily for solar control in glazed building elements. When combined with low-emissivity (low-E) glass, they can reduce solar heat gain by up to 70%, providing summer solar protection while helping to limit winter heat loss and maintaining high levels of natural daylight.
FunctionalityBy integrating specially tinted or coated glass into Pilkington Insulight™ Sun units, the range reduces overheating in glazed areas during warm periods while preserving daylight transmission and visual comfort. Configurations can be tailored for façades, roof glazing and other architectural applications.

Spectrum Calculation Program (related tool)Pilkington Spectrum is a calculation program that provides glass performance data for single and insulating glass units, including light and solar properties (transmittance, reflectance, absorptance, g-value), centre-pane U-value, sound insulation, global warming potential (GWP), ultraviolet transmittance and colour rendering index, as well as impact and resistance characteristics.
