Overview
The Pilkington Activ™ Range is a family of self-cleaning float glass designed for architectural glazing. Variants combine a hydrophilic photocatalytic coating with optional solar-control treatments to reduce maintenance and improve visual comfort for windows, facades, canopies and skylights.

Other configurations
Other configurations are possible (for example Pilkington Activ Suncool Optilam™). Pilkington Activ™ can be combined with other Pilkington products in insulating glass units (for example Pilkington Insulight Activ™) to add properties such as impact resistance, increased security, acoustic insulation and improved thermal performance.

Spectrum Calculation Program
Pilkington Spectrum is a Windows-based glass performance model enabling fast calculation of key properties for single glazing and insulating glass units. The program provides:

• Light and solar properties (transmittance, reflectance, absorptance, g-value)
• Centre-pane U-value
• Sound insulation values
• Global Warming Potential (GWP) or carbon footprint
• Ultraviolet (UV) transmittance and colour rendering index (Ra)
• Other properties such as impact resistance, fire resistance and resistance to manual attack
