Description

Description
Pilkington Screen Printed Glass is clear or tinted float glass printed with ceramic inks by screen printing and subsequently toughened (tempered), a process that fuses the ceramic paint into the glass surface. It is available in a broad range of colours and patterns that can fully or partially cover the glass surface. The product combines strength, safety, privacy, decoration and solar control in a single glazing solution. Ceramic coverage helps to control heat and light transmission and reduces the shading coefficient of clear and tinted glass.

Features & Benefits
  • Control of solar heat and light transmission
  • Various levels of privacy achievable
  • Wide range of standard or bespoke designs
  • High durability of ceramic ink with no colour fading
  • Up to five times stronger than annealed glass of the same thickness when tempered
  • High resistance to thermal stress
  • Safer breakage behaviour due to tempering
  • Suitable for single glazing or insulating double glazing
  • Can undergo additional heat soak treatment where required

Applications
Pilkington Screen Printed Glass is used for doors, bus shelters, telephone kiosks, display signage, partitions, windows and façades. It is suitable for roof glazing, external walls and interior divisions where both aesthetic and functional requirements such as solar control or privacy are needed. It can deliver dramatic decorative effects or simple patterns for screening and shading.
