Expansion joint with a metal structure and an EPDM infill suitable for sanding and grinding. Designed for porcelain tile and compatible with marble and natural stone when polished. Continuous metal wings protect tile edges and reduce mechanical stresses from heavy pedestrian or wheeled traffic. Trimtec-type profiles with rounded top edge and perforation on the wings absorb elevated loads and integrate with adhesive and tiles. The EPDM infill hardness is balanced to provide flexibility and resistance. Suggested maximum flooring bay (UNI 11146:2024): 16 m². Typical applications: retail, hotels, sports centres, schools and public buildings.

How to install joints COFLEX CT
If a screed splitting joint exists, align the expansion joint exactly over it. Apply tile adhesive in the application area using suitable tools, press the joint wings into the adhesive and set the tile so that the joint does not stand above the floor (it may be 0.5–1 mm lower). Fill the gap between tile and joint with grout. Verify level and alignment during laying to ensure continuous load transfer and correct sealing.
