Description
ROCKWOOL® DuctSlab is non-combustible thermal insulation for square and rectangular ductwork.
DuctSlab is a semi-rigid stone wool insulation slab faced with reinforced aluminium foil. The product is suitable for service temperatures of up to 230˚C.
When specified in accordance with BS 5422, DuctSlab can meet regulatory thermal requirements and prevent the formation of condensation on chilled ductwork.
Manufactured from non-combustible stone wool insulation, DuctSlab is a semi-rigid slab, whereas DuctWrap is a lightweight flexible roll.
In order to maintain the bond strength of the foil facing, the insulation thickness should be specified to maintain a maximum outer surface temperature no greater than 80°C
DuctSlab and DuctWrap absorb sound and vibration, and when combined with an outer cladding or mass layer, can improve the sound insulation of ductwork.
